When photographer Alexandra discovers Okello John, a refugee child soldier in a nature preserve, she's left to decide what's exploitation and what is just raw truth. As she asks the boy to pose for photos made to look like moments from his violent past, his memories and her spotted history collide in a battle of base instincts and bad intentions. Her assistant Robbie, a former inmate, is faced with her own battle as she fights to obtain guardianship of her niece, complicated by the teenager's fascination with Okello John. A play about the problems inherent when we try to save each other.
