Event
The Golden Hammer
Ready for some grit? Come along for a ride through East Bay courtrooms where the funk of the street is processed into... what? Justice? Where we haven't a clue how often we botch the job, or how badly. Meet a wheelchair-pushing public defender, and war veterans confronting old wounds, booze, and accusations of forgotten misconduct. Travel back with a teenager in over his head, perpetrating, trying to burn without getting burned. You might get dirty.
THE GOLDEN HAMMER was developed with Director David Ford and Club Solo. Mark previously developed TOM AND JOHN with Charlie Varon, two monologues exploring adolescent rebellion and the world of spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Mark has been a public defender in the East Bay for 10 years.
