John Burroughs High School Presents "A Chorus Line"
John Burroughs High School's Spring Musical: "A Chorus Line". Performances will be held in the John Burroughs Auditorium, 1920 W. Clark Avenue, Burbank 91506.
This 1976 Pulitzer Prize winning musical is set on the bare stage of a Broadway theatre during an intense dance call for a new show where the audience gets a behind the scenes look at what goes on during the audition process. A coming of age story, the characters ultimately share the events that have shaped their lives and led them to pursue their passions and dreams on the Broadway stage. In its original run of 6,137 performances, "A Chorus Line" was the longest running production in Broadway history and was nominated for 12 Tony Awards, winning 9 of them including Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Book, and Best Score. "A Chorus Line" also boasts some of the most memorable Broadway songs of all time, such as "What I Did For Love" and "One." General Admission to "A Chorus Line": $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, $20 for priority seating (allowed into house 15 minutes before general admission.
