Learn how to extend you growing season in Maine by using hoop houses/coldframes and growing cold hardy varieties of vegetables. Explore the possibilities of growing veggies year round in an urban setting. See how structures are built and how you can add months to your growing in late fall and early spring.
Sheetmulching: Apply permaculture based soil build to your yard. Learn how to compost in place and build amazing garden bed soil. Sheetmulched garden beds hold nutrients and water better than traditional tilling techniques, as well as removes items from your waste stream, such as newspaper, kitchen compostables, and yard waste.
