Tennessee Williams' THE ECCENTRICITIES OF A NIGHTINGALE
In partnership with KPCC, A Noise Within presents a staged reading of Tennessee Williams' THE ECCENTRICITIES OF A NIGHTINGALE.
Oh, to simply fit in! Trapped in the cultural suffocation of a backwater Mississippi hamlet, Alma Winemiller struggles to dim the unique glow of her soul. Blessed (or cursed) with a lyric sense of being, she bears a heavy cross of unrequited, unattainable love for the boy next door. Without a protector her exquisite individuality is left vulnerable to the destructive forces of small-town intolerance in American Master Tennessee Williams' ode to fragile beauty.
ADMISSION IS FREE, but RSVPs are required.
6:30pm - Doors Open 7:00pm - Reading
You can also see the full stage production of THE ECCENTRICITIES OF A NIGHTINGALE , directed by Dámaso Rodriguez, running in rotating repertory now through May 28th at A Noise Within. Call for tickets: 818-240-0910x1 or Order Online. Mention KPCC for special discount offers!
