The Observatory (encore performances)

"Do not miss this show!" - Chicago Stage Review

"Unexpected plot twists... recommended!" - Centerstage Chicago

"[Vincent] Truman's nuanced performance as David... simultaneously likable and despicable... is [a] main redeeming element of this production." - Chicago Reader

"Given that America has been sucked into a moral morass over torture and indefinite detention, a hellhole from which the Obama administration will not extricate us or even ameliorate, a play like The Observatory couldn't be timelier." - Chicago Theater Blog

Vincent Truman's "The Observatory" is back for eight encore performances, with a new cast and much better weather.  Starring Kasey O'Brien, Angela Jo Strohm and Tasheena Miyagi, "The Observatory" follows David Lockwood, an average schoolteacher (Truman), who is given the opportunity to make a lot of money by merely watching a hologram of a "person of interest" in his home.  His marriage and life disintegrates around him and his mind soon follows as begins to think the woman he is watching may be innocent.

Jack Guasta, KD O'Hair and Matt Tassel round out a spectacular cast.

The performances are at 8pm all nights.

Special note: the performances on Sunday, April 17 and Sunday, April 24 are special Understudy Feature Performances and star Paula Ramirez and Korri Givens.  For these performances, Matt Tassell takes on the lead role of David Lockwood.

Another special note: the performance on Saturday, April 16, will be followed by a Q&A session with Kasey O'Brien, Angela Jo Strohm and Vincent Truman, hosted by reviewer Scott Hill.
