Cyrus Kambatta Dance Company

Cyrus Kambatta Dance Company performs in the Black Box Theatre at Edmonds Community College in collaboration with Cameroonian Artist Max Lyonga. The dance company contrasts rigorous partnering and athletic movement with authentic human content to create emotionally moving dance that is both visually beautiful and physically demanding. Since arriving in Seattle from New York in 2001, its' programming has been seen throughout the West Coast and abroad by over 10,000 people with works ranging from undercover site-specific pieces that spring to life around unsuspecting audiences to staged full-length interdisciplinary productions. The show will be centered around the spontaneous creation of art two different media. The company and the artist will use each other's work, in the moment, to influence the generation of material in the moment. The dance company has been corresponding with and studying the artwork of Max Lyonga for months in preparation for the collaborative show.

Show dates are April 8-9 at 7:30pm and tickets range from $9 Students/Seniors and $16 General admission.
