THE PRINCE OF RIKERS ISLANDS - by Mike Meadors - THESPIS THEATER FESTIVAL 2015
Jonathan Zeleznik, an Oscar-Nominated actor, has been sentenced by the court to direct a production of HAMLET with a small group of inmates at Rikers Island Correctional Facility. After witnessing the heinous nature of the Warden's behavioral conduct policies, Zeleznik is compelled to fight alongside his new friends. A fight which could earn him a permanent place behind bars.
