Small Business Lunch at Halls
The King Street Marketing Group and Halls Chophouse are pleased to welcome Elizabeth Colbert-Busch, Director of Business Development for the $100 million Clemson University Restoration Institute (CURI) in North Charleston, as the guest speaker for Small Business Lunch at Halls, Thursday, June 4th.

The center houses the world's most-advanced wind-turbine drivetrain testing facility capable of full-scale highly accelerated mechanical and electrical testing of advanced drivetrain systems for wind turbines.

*** Will this create new jobs in the lowcountry?
*** Does this help with Boeing, Mercedes and Volvo?

As Director of Business Development her responsibilities include marketing and sales for Clemson University's SCE&G Energy Innovation Center and Duke Energy's Electric Grid Innovation and Development Center. She is also responsible for CURI's private public strategic planning for business and economic development.

The Wind Turbine Drivetrain Testing Facility will help to establish long-term partnerships with industry for workforce development, research and education. South Carolina has the infrastructure to establish a wind-energy cluster across the state.

And with new initiatives under way to create a trained workforce for the industry, the state can become a wind-energy hub for North America. Central to the industry's growth, and the economy of the state, is a trained workforce of technicians and engineers to fill the jobs the industry will create.

Prior to CURI Colbert-Busch was with Orient Overseas Container Line (USA) Incorporated. While Director of Sales and Marketing, she was responsible for all trade lane development, implementation and execution of the business plan, budget objectives and financial goals while, promoting international maritime relations and North America business activity including the South Atlantic and Gulf regions of the United States and country of Mexico. She was the company's governmental affairs liaison for maritime and trade related issues and policy.

She is a graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Intermodal Transportation and Logistics Management, and a Riley Fellow for the Furman University Riley Institute's - Diversity Leaders Initiative.

Each month, Small Business Lunch at Halls features a distinguished speaker from the business, civic or political arenas upstairs at Halls Chophouse with an imaginative three-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Matthew Niessner.

Tickets are $29 per person plus tax and processing fee for the luncheon and parking. Doors open at 11:30 AM and lunch is served promptly at noon. Limited seating of 90 participants provides an intimate experience with each speaker.

Halls Chophouse is located at 434 King Street in downtown Charleston. Parking, validated at the event, is available at the Visitors Center Garage on Ann Street between King and Meeting Streets.
