STONE OF HOPE and other works
Lustig Dance Theatre will close its 2014-2015 season at the Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theatre with Graham Lustig's "Stone of Hope" and other works.

"Stone of Hope" is inspired by modern arrangements of traditional spirituals by Moses Hogan and William Dawson and live narration of Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech.

"Infinitum" is based on a text from the Book of Job, Parce Mihi Domine.  This spiritual quartet explores the concept of surrender and acceptance.

"Six Pianos" was inspired by the electric energy of this music, choreographer Graham Lustig has created a landscape of dance, at times still and serene, and other times jubilantly energetic, capturing this composition's athleticism, power and ebullience. Reflecting the voices of each piano, six dancers slice through the stage terrain in shapes both sculptural and dynamic.

This Heart is the culmination of a creative exchange between Graham Lustig and Nashville Ballet's Artistic Director, Paul Vasterling. LDT and Nashville Ballet have creatively swapped productions through a cross-country collaboration. As a result, This Heart will be performed by LDT to contemporary songs by Texas-born singer and songwriter Nanci Griffith and features choreography by Paul Vasterling.

This performance is funded in part by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders/Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission with assistance thru a grant provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.

For special accommodations, including wheelchair accessible seating, please contact LDT directly at 732.246.7300.
