Get In Your Body: Basics of Self Awareness

Your body is communicating with you all the time. Are you participating in the conversation?

Being aware of your body opens up access to physical transformation, unlocks new potential for self-love & self-care, and can give you invaluable insight into making life-decisions. This workshop is a low-pressure way to learn the basics of listening to and interpreting your body's messages. Participants will leave with specific methods of practicing self-awareness in all areas of their life.

This workshop is the first in a 8-part series of body-awareness workshops, each of which will delve more specifically into ways of establishing deeper and more revelatory connections with your own body.

Frances Reed helps people tune in more fully to their bodies and improve their quality of life through guided meditation, bodywork, teaching, and activism. They present workshops on many topics relating to knowing our bodies and how that knowledge can teach us to love, heal, communicate about, stay calm in, and maximize pleasure for our bodies. Frances is a polyamorous, gender-non-conforming queer who co-owns Freed Bodyworks, a holistic practice catering proudly and overtly to non-conforming bodies in Washington, DC.
