When Animals Dream
A werewolf-romance-coming-of-age story, WHEN ANIMALS DREAM premiered at Cannes to great acclaim, as its unique style, characters and story make this a groundbreaking genre film. The tale of a werewolf being hunted down in her Danish fishing village while finding love recalls now-classic fare as Let The Right One In with its sensitive and sometimes bloody tale of an unlikely protagonist. Its underlying examination of a woman's independence in seeking out love amidst a narrow-minded community resonates throughout and provides ample food for thought.
