Call Me Lucky
One of the most acclaimed films at this year's Sundance Film Festival, CALL ME LUCKY is that rare film that is both hilarious and heartbreaking. Legendary comedian-turned-director Bobcat Goldthwaite turns the camera on Barry Crimmons, his professional mentor and a man who remains a venerated figure in the stand up comedy world. The film pulls no punches in its exploration of Crimmons' pursuits and crusades, both comedic and political, and in telling this fascinating, twisting story Goldthwaite has certainly made one of the finest documentaries of the year.
