Trinayan Dance Theater and The Construction Company Present:
Welcome to Trinayan Dance Theater's 1st Annual Benefit Performance in celebration of our newly launched Professional Training Program and over 10 years of presenting Odissi dance in NYC. Our highly valued Patrons and well wishers will be treated to a rarely seen short film on the life of the late founder of the Guru Deba Prasad Das Odissi Gharana(lineage); The program follows with an spirited Odissi dance performance featuring excerpts of our critically acclaimed production 'Swaha:Rituals of Union' & a reviting solo dance performance by award-winning artistic director, Smt. Leena Mohanty among many highlights. After the show, join us for 'A Taste of India'/ 'Meet the Artists' Refreshment Party.
All funds raised will go towards our 2011-2012 Professional Repertory Training Program & our 2012 NYC season premiere and India Tour.
