Abigail Washburn in Concert
Abigail Washburn appears in concert March 15th to benefit SHARE, a non-profit group formed to support the arts in rural areas. Profiled in Newsweek (2008) for creating a "gorgeous, joyful new sound," songwriter and clawhammer banjo player Abigail Washburn takes her bold and expansive musical vision to new heights on her third recording, City of Refuge. "Washburn's enigmatic songs mingle Appalachia and folk-pop, with tinges of Asia and Bruce Springsteen"The New York Times review. "A modern classic" The Boston Globe review. The concert will be in Montgomery Auditorium in historic Morrison Hall at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Concert time: 8:00 PM; Tickets $25.00.
