No Enlightened People Have Ever Come Out of the Ghetto - Shelton Theater
When I was twelve, Sister Mary Ellen told me "No enlightened people have ever come out of the ghetto, Andre." So I'm putting on a one-man play to prove her correct. This performance is a loving, irreverent look at life, love, religion, spirituality, and the everyday moments that showed me how to live through my true nature. I didn't always recognize these moments for what they were, but looking back I see how these life events showed me how to be at peace in the world. I invite you to revisit these moments with me. I invite you not just to witness my life but to see how your life is revealing the Mystery in you. My one-man performance "No Enlightened People Have Ever Come Out of the Ghetto" will be at the Shelton Theater on Thursday April 28th, and at the Alcove Theater on Friday, May 6th. Join me as we laugh, cry, dance, and celebrate life and secret way the mystery is working through us all.
