Where There's Smoke (Tucson Fringe Festival)
Comedian Lesley Abrams awoke one morning at 3:00am to discover her house in flames. An arsonist had torched the building next door and the ensuing fire destroyed four homes. "Where There's Smoke" traces Abrams' coming to grips with the fears, sorrows, realizations and healing of this extraordinary event. In telling the story of the fire, she brings 48 characters to life in this one-person performance. "Where There's Smoke" is sad and touching, life affirming and funny; it is a human story to which we all can relate.
