Break the Trailer: Challenge and Screening Event
With warm weather comes a new crop of action-packed, star-studded blockbusters. Millions wait with bated breath for their arrival, but how can we drum up that same level of excitement in the classroom?
Find out at The LAMP's "Break the Trailer" screening event, presented at the fantastic Sony Wonder Technology Lab in New York City. By donating, you will be supporting teams of students remixing actual movie trailers breaking the media, changing the message, being critical while applying their media literacy skills. All legally, with The LAMP's own revolutionary remix editor, the MediaBreaker.
On June 16th at 6pm, the finished trailers will be screened in the Sony Wonder theater. In addition to some light refreshments and a question-and-answer session with the students, audience members and a panel of judges will vote for their favorite team to win a $500 prize.
