Hands On: Celebrating the Work of Walter D. Myers
In celebration of the life and work of author and illustrator Walter D. Myers, this Target Free Sunday Hands On workshop will be dedicated to the books and characters he created and the legacy of reading he has forged for Black authors and illustrators. In the words of Mr. Myers, "Books took me to a place that I have been constantly exploring ever since." In this workshop, we will deconstruct old and tattered books and re-assemble them into meaningful collages that encourage the love of reading!
