Tire-Derived Products and LEED Construction- Lunch Program

CalRecycle is a state government agency that performs recycling market development for tire-derived products. CalRecycle's Tire Outreach & Market Analysis (TOMA) program presents "Tire-Derived Products and LEED Construction."
This one-hour talk explains how specifying tire-derived products in building and landscape design can help earn LEED green building credits, gives dozens of examples of installations, provides an overview of health and safety research, explains life-cycle analysis costs and provides information about government grant funding available.
Four Learning Objectives: After this presentation, participants will:
1)Be able to list several different tire-derived products that could be specified for indoor and outdoor designs.
2)Understand which LEED green building credits can be met with tire-derived products.
3)Be able to explain the benefits of tire-derived products over conventional materials and the applications that provide these benefits.
4)Understand the environmental benefits of diverting tires into new products.
