Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers
This vintage comedy by Simon has at its core, Barney Cashman, a middle-aged, married nebbish who wants to join the sexual revolution before it's too late. A gentle soul with no experience in adultery, he attempts three seductions - a sexpot who likes cigarettes, whiskey, and other women's husbands; an actress who he discovers is madder than a hatter; and his wife's best friend, who is a very depressed woman. The original Broadway production, directed by Robert Moore, opened on December 28, 1969 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, where it ran for 706 performances. The original cast included James Coco, Linda Lavin, Doris Roberts, and Marcia Rodd. The play, Coco, Lavin, and Moore all were nominated for Tony Awards. Later, Simon adapted his play for a 1972 film directed by Gene Saks. The cast included Alan Arkin, Sally Kellerman, Paula Prentiss, and Renée Taylor. Last of the Red Hot Lovers opens on Friday, April 1st at the New Alley Theatre located at 133 Center Street, Middleboro. There will be a Opening Night Reception featuring cash bar and light refreshments starting at 7:30pm. Evening show time is 8PM. Tickets are $20 General Admission and $18 Seniors & Students. Question: |
I called the box office to make a reservation for 4 for the 8p.m. show on Sat. 04/09/11. The recording said someone would return my call within 48 hours! The show is tomorrow night. We are two couples paying separately and woud like to take care of this at the door. Can we make a reservation here online and what are the payment options(I realize credit cards are not an option) at the door? |
Answer: |
I am so sorry that you have not heard back, unfortunately answering services are not infallible, maybe the message did not get recorded, or got dropped.... I would suggest calling again or if you would feel more secure pls call me on my cell phone, I am the artistic director, 508-472-9467 and I will take care of the reservation. |
