Sattvikabhinaya Workshop
Natya Dance Theatre is very honored to present Dr. Pappu Venugopala Rao in a workshop about Sattvikabhinaya on June 13/14
Dr. Rao is credited as being the pioneer in Lecture Demonstrations in Kuchipudi. Dance together with Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. He is looked upon as one who brought an academic perspective to studies on Kuchipudi. He is a powerful speaker with clarity of thought and expression. His lectures on music, dance, religion, philosophy and literature have made him a very popular and sought after speaker, in India and many other countries around the world.
There will be a 2 day workshop on Sattvikabhinaya, we will have a detailed in depth study of all the components discussed by Bharata in the Natya Sastra and how they need to be put in practice.
All dancers and teachers will widely benefit from this experience! Natya highly recommends all dance students and teachers to attend the workshop!
