SMPS SFBAC Firestarters! How to Ignite Relationships and Keep them Roaring
Do you ever wonder why some people excel at establishing and igniting relationships in what appears to be an effortless way? Do you ask yourself, "What do they know that I don't know?" Or perhaps you're good at establishing relationships but not so hot at tending them?

During this highly interactive program, you'll discover the answers to these questions. Susan Murphy and Marion Thatch will take a look  through group and individual exercises and role playing  at what sparks a connection as well as best practices for tending your relationship fires. You will then practice the concrete skills to help you, no matter your personality type, to reach out (gather the kindling, if you will) to build strong and lasting relationships with your clients, peers, and colleagues. You will learn and adapt the steps to start, fan, and in some cases, extinguish relationships with confidence.

Speakers:
Susan Murphy, President, Murphy Motivation & Training: A frequent speaker at AIA and SMPS conferences, Susan has spent the last 20 years helping architects, engineers, and construction firms hone their presentation and interview skills. She has the reputation of being a tough coach who uses her high energy and humor to keep her participants engaged.

Marion Thatch, FSMPS, ACC, President, Marketing with Distinction: A marketing consultant and executive coach, Marion works with clients looking to differentiate themselves in the market. Recognized as a leader among marketing professionals in the A/E/C industry, Marion has been named a Fellow by the Society of Marketing Professional Services.
