O Lovely Glowworm presented by NCTC
O Lovely Glowworm; or Scenes of Great Beauty.  
In a small corner of Ireland circa 1918, a stuffed goat living atop a garbage heap concocts a magical inner world to escape the reality of its bleak existence. Award-winning playwright Glen Berger weaves a fantastical narrative of love-struck soldiers, mermaids, unicorns, and a hapless inventor attempting to devise a self-cleaning toilet. Suffused with music from World War I, O Lovely Glowworm is a joyously inventive celebration of humanity.


Starring NCTC member Michael Pattern, with Gretchen Krich, Brian Claudio Smith and NCTC company members Jennifer Lee Taylor, MJ Sieber, and Peter Dylan O'Connor. This show is performed in loving memory of Mark Chamberlin, our friend and colleague and the inspiration behind this production.

Special Note:  New Century Theatre Company had the great fortune of doing our first 3 shows at ACT theatre in downtown Seattle.  Now we've left the warmth of their support and ventured out on our own.  Now, for our 4th production we are performing at the Erickson Theatre on Capitol Hill (behind the Egyptian Theatre).

NCTC is comprised of 13 theatre artists whom have all made the choice to make their careers here in Seattle. The idea behind NCTC was to infuse Seattle with a jolt of new but professional theatre; in our first three years we've produced three very different (happily successful) shows, two dozen Pipeline readings at SOLO BAR and plan on blowing the lid off in 2012 with more theatre per square inch than we can imagine.  For now, come see O Lovely Glowworm, a one of kind theatre experience.
