Bagels for Monday
Every week, SourFlour bakes and gives away free bagels for Bagel Monday. For over a year, the weekly routine of mixing, shaping, boiling, baking, and eating bagels has been followed. Now you can learn the techniques and skills to make your own bagels. Sour Flour Baker Danny Gabriner will guide you through the process of hand mixing and hand shaping, and explain what makes a bagel a bagel. You will leave the class with bagel dough ready to be baked, and the knowledge of how to complete the entire process.
This is part of our Bread Basket Bonanza, a series of wild yeast bread classes. The next three will be on Mondays starting February 21st and will break bread baking down into classes on starter, shaping, and proofing.
