Event
Mother's Day Women's Tea and an African Adventure
What happens when you combine:
Women of passion
AIDS
Honor
Respect
Compassion
and
Faith
An unprecedented opportunity is upon us. The opportunity for everyone in Seattle, especially the church, to walk in the shoes of an African Child and not leave the U-district.
No shots
No jet lag
Just heart-breaking understanding of the face of AIDS
The AIDS Experience will be at University Presbyterian Church May 11-17 it will bridge the Sunday of Mother's Day.
What a unique opportunity we have to yoke with our African Mothers, Sister, Aunts, and Daughters, as they live daily with this silent killer living in the human family.
Women lead movements and evoke change
That is why a Mother's Day women's tea on the Saturday of the AIDS Experience would be a fabulous opportunity to ignite Seattle's faith community of women to engage the Global AIDS Crisis first hand, to go beyond the headlines.
What would it look like if the UPC sanctuary was filled woman leaders of faith from all over Seattle that came together for a tea, were inspired by fabulous speakers, and then a trip to the African Village to journey with Beatrice, Olivia, Stephen, or Timothy.
