Don Juan in Hell
Don Juan's Hell is nothing like the fiery pit most of us think of when we hear the word. It is a place of leisure and culture, whose denizens can appear to each other in any way they choose. It also contains some of Shaw's most colorful characters. We first meet Ana (played by Nellie Ognacevic), newly dead, who tries to make sense of her new surroundings. Ana runs into her former suitor, Don Juan (Rogue Artistic Director Nate White), who finds Hell boring and seeks a higher purpose. Juan reintroduces Ana to her father, The Commander (Mark Habert), who has recently decided to leave Heaven to enjoy the comforts of Hell. The foursome is completed by the Devil himself (Lew Wallace), who is the arbiter of culture in the realms below. The show is directed by two veteran Rogue collaborators, Dan Foss and Kerstin Broockmann.
