OH SH!T, IT'S ANOTHER EVENING OF ONE-ACT PLAYS
Bare Theatre concludes its sixth season with a production that contains such a wide range of styles, genres, emotions, and ideas that the only title that captures it all is, OH SH!T. This variety of contemporary one-act plays, that will have audiences falling in love, laughing, guessing who done it, and wondering, is running for two weeks at Common Ground Theatre in Durham February 17 - 27. "Suspense," by Ian Finley, directed by Kathryn Milliken LeTrent Everyone is a suspect and a victim in this farce of Victorian melodrama. "The Shakespeare Zone," written by the ensemble, directed by Matt Schedler - What if the greatest writer in the Western world wasn't born in 1564, but in 1964 and wrote for the MTV-attention-span, reality-show-saturated culture of today? "The Mountain, or Pennatus Pectus," created by Todd Buker, Donna Rossi Youngblood and Carmen-maria Mandley A clown's journey through manhood. "Little Boy Love Goat," written by Carmen-maria Mandley, directed by Lucinda Gainey A love story about a satyr and his muse.
