The Science of Taste: Savour Your Soil
In this hands-on workshop, you explore the relationship between soil health and nutritional value, literally, from the ground up. After enjoying a blind taste test of a variety of veggies (grown conventionally and otherwise) you will learn how soil biology affects nutrient density. We have a nifty science experiment for you to perform, as well, to determine nutritional composition. In sum: you will learn where your extra dollars go when you buy or grow the best nature has to offer. This is the first in a series of soil classes that explore why healthy dirt makes for a healthy you.
