Pink Banana One Acts 2015: Superheroes

Pink Banana Theatre Co. is excited to announce the theme for our 11th annual summer one-acts festival: SUPERHEROES.

We invited playwrights - aspiring and established, local and beyond - to submit their plays relating to Superheroes, in any context.

Each performance showcases five new original thematic works from playwrights who participated in an open submission process. Pink Banana chose five passionate local directors who in turn selected their scripts from the top submissions.

The five works to be performed are:

*Issue #11 by Sam Sherman, directed by Amanda Sinko
*Secret Origin by Harry Loeffler-Bell directed by Amanda Hull
*The Hand That Guides by Jeremiah Miller, directed by Emily Rindt
*We Are the Unsung by Katie Lynne Krueger, directed by Rebecca Segal
*We Were Only Henchmen by Andrew Rosdail, directed by Tessara Morgan

Also new this year, the Pink Banana One Acts will employ an ensemble cast including: Joe Widen, Ryan Nelson, Brian Bien, David Rothrock, Josh Krause, Brett J. Rasmussen, Nicolai Ketelsen, Samantha Martinson, Heather Reynolds Coonan, JJ Gatesman, Kara Penrose, Lori Morse, Greg Ryan, Kara Foster, and Danny Rockey

All shows start at 7:30 PM.

$20 general admission,
$18 in advance online
$15 students

For the first time, the Pink Banana One Acts will be performed in the Arcade Theatre, part of Milwaukee's Underground Collaborative located at 161 W. Wisconsin Ave., lower level of the Grand Ave Mall (Below TJ Maxx!).
