At the heart of every performance is the scene, the building block on which all improv shows are created. There is no precription for creating a successful scene. Some are long, some short, some touching and tender, some daft and knockabout. Each week this class will examine techniques for making great improvised scenes, including approaches to character, space work and mime, game of the scene, narrative techniques, emotion and authenticity.
This class is intedned for those who have had at least six months experience of improvisation and want to polish their scenework skills, perhaps to complement a course you are taking or team you are playing with.
