From Inspiration to Bottle: The Bebame Story
18 Reasons is delighted to announce a new series of wine classes that focus on the stories behind our favorite wines. Knowing the difference between pinot noir and syrah is important, but often in our search for varietal knowledge we lose the cultural and biographical histories behind the wines. This series is our way of recognizing the importance of those stories, and we are honored to do so with Don Heistuman of Aha Wines.
For anyone who has tasted Bebame, Don's cabernet frac/gamay blend, it is clear that Don is marching to the beat of his own drummer. Devoted to making wines reminiscent of the Loire Valley, Don proves that California soil can produce elegant, structured, and low alcohol French-style wines. During this two hour class we will learn his story by tasting the wines that inspire him and the one that inspiration produced.
