Atra, ossia, l'amore ricordato
Be part of the world premiere of a new Handel opera entitled "Atra, ossia, l'amore ricordato" (Atra, or The Remembered Love) on 4 and 5 February 2011 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater in Manhattan!
Atra is a pasticcio comprised of a selection of Handel's best arias woven together by a new, thoroughly modern plot evoking themes from traditional opera seria. This multimedia production draws on projection, film, dance, music, and words---both spoken and written---to create a new opera, both in content and presentation, that resonates with contemporary interests and concerns.
Event run time is approximately 90 minutes, without intermission.
