Scriptless for the Moment: Writing the Collaborative Play (or Musical) through Improv
This workshop is a crash course in how one can take a nugget of an idea for a play or musical and turn it into an original comedic narrative.
Using methods developed over his 8 years working at the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago, under Artistic Director, Mick Napier, Tim Paul will help you bring your ideas for a narrative piece into fruition, From Pitch to Performance, this workshop will focus on everything from outlining your initial idea, casting, character development, workshopping scenes/monologues through improv & working collaboratively with writers, actors & director. All participants should bring a Smartphone (or any other recording device) as well as a single paragraph pitch of an ORIGINAL idea for a play or musical. Also, participants should be prepared to do some improvisation, so experience is a plus, but by no means necessary.
