The Pillowman
The New Ensemble in Fresno opens its first full season with The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh, directed by founding ensemble member Heather Parish, featuring actors James Sherrill, Jaguar Bennett, Travis Sheridan, Landon Weiszbrod, with Bruce Robinson and Jessica Reedy. The production plays on various dates January 28-February 6, in the Broken Leg Stage on North Van Ness in Fresno.
In a totalitarian state, a writer is interrogated about his nightmarish short stories and their similarities to a number of murders occurring in his town. When the writer's mentally impaired brother is also brought in for questioning by two officers, the police procedural takes unforeseen twists and turns.
