Hazzan Abraham Shapiro Concert: Sounds of Chicago
The Hazzan Abraham Shapiro Memorial concert this year will feature Masterpieces from the Grand Chicago Cantorial Tradition. Cantors from around the country will join their voices with the Kol Zimra Community Chorus in presenting selected compositions of local Cantors and Jewish Composers. Judith Karzen, noted Chicago musicologist, will offer historic biographical and anecdotal notes to the performance.
