1 day Introduction to Sewing, Sunday 26th April
This practical sewing workshop will help you become familiar with the basics of machine sewing and help you build your confidence using a domestic sewing machine before moving on to a simple project after which you can graduate onto another intermediate course offered by Edinburgh Sewcial Club.
Key Skills learned during class:
Threading Sewing Machine, winding & inserting bobbin in machine.
Driving skills (learning how to gain control over the speed of the machine)
Learning about fabric qualities and various machine stitches and the importance of thread tension.
Make a small bag or cushion with your new skills learned and if time some simple applique.
