Heavy Mellow Piano Concert
Experience up-close and personal the power and beauty of solo piano performance featuring Michele McLaughlin from Salt Lake City, Philip Wesley from Nashville, and Scott D. Davis (as local as can be since this concert takes place in his home).

Michele McLaughlin's music is haunting and contagious, relaxing and beautiful, peaceful and touching. She was drawn to piano music from early childhood and would learn to play her favorite songs by ear. Michele took piano lessons for a very short period of time, but quit when the lessons took the fun out of playing. Shortly afterwards, when she was 8 years old, she was introduced to the music of George Winston and was instantly moved and inspired by his remarkable talent and style. She would listen to his music and dream of someday playing as he did. It was during this time that she began composing and recording her own songs. In the winter of 2000, Michele released her first album, Beginnings, which included 18 of her favorite compositions she had written over the years. The response she received from friends and family was an overwhelming eye-opener for Michele. She was so moved by the positive feedback and support she received that she was inspired to work on her second album, Elysium. The release of her second album was a critical turning point in Michele's musical career and she has since produced a total of ten albums (Beginnings, Elysium, The Journey, A Change of Color, The Beginning of Forever, After The Storm, Reflections 2000-2005 ~ The Best of Michele McLaughlin, Christmas ~ Plain & Simple, Dedication, A Celtic Dream and Out of the Darkness). Michele performs regularly and has shared the stage with some of her favorite pianists; David Nevue, Joe Bongiorno, Gary Girouard, Joseph Akins, Joe Yamada, Christine Brown, Louis Landon, Jennifer Thomas and Kurt Bestor. Michele loves to perform with fellow musicians because she feels it brings so much more to the experience of the audience and the performers. Michele's musical influences include George Winston, Jim Brickman, Paul Cardall and David Nevue, Jace Vek, Glen Gabriel, Jennifer Thomas, etc.

With a piano style somewhere between David Lanz and Jim Brickman, Philip Wesley brings solace and a spiritual depth to the music world with his tender romantic playing. Perhaps Solo Piano Publications and Wind and Wire Publications said it best when they described his music as "pure solace", "reflective and optimistic."

Interestingly enough, if you ask Philip about his musical background he might surprise you. He comes not from a background of relaxing piano music, but grew up a typical 1980's teenager, playing guitar and strongly under the influences of virtuoso rock artists Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Up until college, Philip only played the guitar and had no experience with the piano. Once in college though he heard the piano music of artists like David Lanz and Yanni and was instantly hooked. From that point on he immersed himself in this style of music and never looked back. In college, Philip’s studies included music theory, composition, and piano. Eventually he went on to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Music Therapy.

In 2008 Philip released his 4th CD 'Dark Night of the Soul'. This collection of new music is filled with sweet melancholy and beautiful angst.

In 2009 'Dark Night of the Soul' was nominated as one of the top 20 albums of 2008 by the publication 'Mainly Piano'

Philip Wesley has performed with some of the most noteable modern masters of the piano including David Lanz, Michael Dulin, David Nevue, George Skaroulis, Scott D Davis, Joseph Akins, Catherine Marie Charelton, Greg Maroney, and Joe Bongiorno.

Philip now resides in Nashville, TN with his wife, stepson and two Jack Russell Terriers :)

Rock concert pianist Scott D. Davis (a.k.a. Pianotarium) is becoming known worldwide for bringing two worlds together: solo piano performance, and heavy metal. "My goal is to show metal fans that the piano rocks, and piano fans that metal music is beautiful."

The concert takes place at Scott's home rehearsal studio in Oceanside, California.  A very intimate space with room for only 60 people!  The show follows his tour across America from California to Florida, the highlight of which were performances aboard ShipRocked with Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Cinderella, Tesla, Sevendust, Drowning Pool, among other rock and metal favorites.
