Sharpie Shibori Scarf Workshop
Join in the pattern making trend while hacking sharpies to make a geometric patterned, shibori scarf. Just in time for mother's day, Verge is offering a scarf making workshop that teaches the itajime shibori shape-resist technique, a method utilizing shapes to prevent ink from penetrating the fabric. Learn to make a scarf, as well as how to apply the shibori technique to a variety of other materials such as pillow cases, napkins and other fabrics. This workshop is for adults. It meets on Wednesday, May 6 from 6pm to 8pm at Verge Center for the Arts, located at 625 S Street Sacramento, CA 95811.
