A Night In Mexico 2015
A NIGHT IN MEXICO features 30 folklorico dancers in a 'south-of-the-border' fiesta with a vibrant finale performed in the true spirit of a true Mexican Fiesta. Gorgeous backdrops worthy of a Broadway musical, colorful costumes and styled dancing ads sparkle to what is already a vibrant tour through Mexico's rich cultural heritage.
The production will take viewers on a journey from pre-Columbian times through the revolutionary period of the early 20th century through corridos and songs, and dances from Jalisco. Also included dances from Guerrero and Veracruz. Highlight includes the ballet's debut of original works based on the folklore of Nayarit and Durango.
The Ballet Folklorico Costa de Oro, based in the San Francisco Bay Area is considered a rising star in the Northern California folklorico scene as well as in other areas of the USA and is known for its creative choreography and its comprehensive performance repertoire.

San Leandro Performing Arts Center is located at 2250 Bancroft Ave in San Leandro; on the San Leandro High School Campus. Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the theater.
Ballet Folklorico Costa de Oro is directed by Steven KoneffKlatt, founder and producer. He has been presenting Ballet Folklorico productions for 10 years around the Bay Area and teaches dance to the students of San Leandro High School.
