Comedy Returns to El Rio! (Mon, Dec 13)
Kung Pao Kosher Comedy Presents...
Comedy Returns to El Rio!

Every 2nd Monday of the month @ 8pm at El Rio.
The next show is Monday, Dec 13th.

Comedian/comedy producer, Lisa Geduldig, (Kung Pao Kosher Comedy) began her stand up comedy career 21 years ago at El Rio in San Francisco's Mission District. She strives to produce multicultural, multi-everything comedy shows with the variety of shows she produces each year (Kung Pao Kosher Comedy, Funny Girlz, The Color of Funny). The line-ups are always a diverse cultural, gender, and sexual orientation mix, and her comedy productions showcase some of the funniest and smartest stand up comics from San Francisco and beyond.

The Monday, Dec 13th show features:
Enzo Lombard, Yayne Abeba, Reannie Roads, Lynn Ruth Miller, Rebecca Ward, & Lisa Geduldig.

ENZO LOMBARD's grandparents opened Baltimore's very first underground gay bar in 1951 (John Waters went as an underage teen), and since then things have gone consistently downhill.  Enzo has been in one form of show business or other since he was 5 years old, sang professionally since 7, worked in London cabaret, studied acting in both London & New York, and performed standup comedian since 2004. He fronted several bands in London, New York and San Francisco, working with future members of Counting Crow and Third Eye Blind.  He has written one novel and directed several documentary films.  His first original play, a solo comedy Love Humiliation & Karaoke has run and toured America for two years, including two award nominated Off-Broadway runs (Best Actor, Best One-Man Show, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical). www.enzolombard.com

YAYNE ABEBA is a native San Franciscan of Ethiopian descent. She began studying acting at the Jean Shelton Actor's Lab in 1995 and was bitten by the comedy bug four years later at The Luggage Store. Realizing that there was no cure, she accepted her fate and has since been touted as one of San Francisco's up and coming comedians. Her style is fresh, innovative, cutting edge and just damn funny. She won The 2002 Russian River Comedy Competition and competed in several San Francisco International Comedy Competitions as well as the Seattle Comedy Competition.

LYNN RUTH MILLER started doing comedy when she was 71 years old and hit the headlines in Edinburgh at the 2005 International Fringe Festival for jumping out of a cake (almost) and removing her clothes (not quite).  She left them laughing when she sat on their laps in 2006 and in 2007. She was dubbed the new Joan Rivers of Fringe Comedy.  Now she is 77, and she swears she hasn't gotten the last laugh yet. She made it to Las Vegas in America's Got Talent in 2008 and won the People's Choice Award at the 2009 Branson Comedy Festival. She got to the finals in Bill Word's Funniest Female Contest 2009 and the semi-finals in SF's International Comedy Competition. www.lynnruthmiller.com

REANNIE ROADS is an unemployed elementary school teacher forced to do stand up comedy due to cutbacks in education.  She sings gentle, non-threatening, intelligent, thoughtful, powerful, hysterical feminist toilet songs.  Described as "What would happen if Gracie Allen picked up a guitar?" Reannie entertains the masses with such hits as Cellulite Dimple, Everybody's Stupid When They're Stoned, and Johnny Depp, a Love Song. Reannie performs at clubs and colleges from Catch a Rising Star in New York City to San Francisco's Punchline.  She is a Women Who Kick Comedy Butt regular and 2007 winner of The Last Woman Kicking.  She also stars in plays and sketch comedy shows such as Loose Knit, where she played the crazed Gina; Psycho-Babble, where she played a crazy lady; and other productions where she played other crazy ladies.  She wrote, produced, and starred in Clockbusters, a sketch comedy show in the San Francisco Fringe Festival.

REBECCA WARD is a San Francisco comedian who has regularly worked many of the Bay Area's comedy clubs. She is returning to the stage after 18 years of maternity leave. Rebecca's style of comedy includes one-liners that will be repeated to friends the next day.

LISA GEDULDIG is the creator, producer, & MC of a variety of annual comedy shows: Kung Pao Kosher Comedy; The George Bush Going Away Party; Funny Girlz; A Muslim, A Mormon, and A Jew Walk into A Bar; The Color of Funny; Comedy Returns to El Rio; and Charo.
