"It's just hard when what you want doesn't come in a box"
"I Hate Christmas," writes Frankie Fine in her letter to Santa, and who can blame her? Frankie and her friends, the "Misbegottens", are facing another cheerless holiday under the iron hand of the tyrannical Miss Pincer. The headmistress of a school for unwanted girls, Miss Pincer inflicts bad food and endless homework on her hapless charges - and now she's planning to send Frankie away to the dreaded Youth Correctional Facility!
But all is not lost for Frankie and Misbegottens. Help is at hand in the form of Rolly and Dingo, Elves on Assignment! Determined to help the girls have a happy holiday after all, the boys step in and deliver a lesson in the true meaning of Christmas that the Misbegottens, Miss Pincer - and you - will never forget.
The folks at Rebel Alliance Theatre would like to join Rolly and Dingo in their efforts to spread holiday cheer by offering a special $5.00 adult admission to any individual or group bringing one or more non-perishable food items to the opening weekend of I Hate Christmas (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Dec. 2nd - 4th). The food collected will be donated to the Omro Food Pantry, where it will help families in our area weather the challenging times we all face as we move into the new year.
Performances of I Hate Christmas will be held December 2-4, 9-11, and 16-18 at Rebel Alliance Theatre and Omro's Center for the Arts, located at 404 S Webster St in Omro. All performances begin at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm). Tickets are $5.00 for children age 12 and under. Adult ticket are priced on a sliding scale ($8.00 to $15.00).
