A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas
The Renaissance Project (TRP), south DeKalb's community theater, celebrates its 11th season with the return of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, beginning December 3, 2010. This production is Dickens' adaptation of his own book re-imagined by Michael H. Cole, In this adaptation, Dickens takes the stage as a character in his own story. Sporting a dazzling and diverse cast, Dickens' immortal tale maintains its intimate feel in TRP's 125-seat Renaissance Theatre.
The production is directed by Cole (To Kill A Mockingbird and The Diary of Anne Frank), who will also play Charles Dickens, and boasts an ensemble of seven men, three women and three children. The company includes Nykki LaMarr as Ebenezer Scrooge, Vince Pisani returning as Jacob Marley, and Robert Oliver Norris as Tiny Tim.
A Christmas Carol will run December 3 - 19—Fridays through Sundays. Tickets are $15 - $18. Show times are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m. on Sundays. There is also a 2 p.m. matinee December 11 and 18.
