Primavera
Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, March 20, 10 am.
Centennial Youth Ballet of the Metro Parks Dance Division presents Primavera at the Z. Alexander Looby Theater located at 2301 Rosa L. Parks Blvd. The mixed-bill concert includes "The Dream Scene" from Don Quixote, a Centennial Youth Ballet premiere staged by new faculty member, Matthew Christensen; A Dance with Bach, an original work in the Balanchine style choreographed by Barry Gager in 2007 that features Bach's brilliant Gavotte en Rondeau from Partita No. 3; Les Petites Violettes d'Hiver, another Centennial Youth Ballet premiere with original choreography by Matthew Christensen; "Bluebird Variation" from The Sleeping Beauty; and a rousing Tarantella to end the concert on a high note.
