Community Celebration in Solidarity with the Zapatistas

At the Humanist Hall located at 390 27th Street in downtown Oakland, California.
PROGRAM:
* Keynote Speaker: Laura Carlsen, Director of the Americas Program, direct from Mexico City. Ms. Carlsen will address the dangerous militarization of Mexico and the "Mérida Initiative," a U.S. national security and trade pact with Mexico.
* A light, authentic MEXICAN DINNER will be served
* SON DEL VALLE performs live son jarocho music
ADMISSION
Regular (sliding scale): $25.00-50.00
Low-Income: $15.00
All proceeds go to support Zapatista community education, health and social development projects in Chiapas.
