"Kill Your Darlings" by Mary Spence
Kill Your Darlings is a dark comedy in one act by Mary Spence. It chronicles an evening in the life of T.V. writer-turned-playwright Sam Strauss as he attempts to complete a project while battling alcoholism, muses, ghosts, greater playwrights, and, just possibly, murder.
Mary Spence is a graduate of CalArts and the Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English. She is an actor, director, and writer, as well as serving as the theatre teacher at Stevenson School's Carmel Campus.
