Anna and Anais in Concert
ANNA AND ANAIS
Anna Garano, a classical and Flamenco guitarist hailing from Trieste, Italy, has arranged a repertoire of Armenian songs for voice and guitar. Here in New York she is joined by Anaïs Alexandra Tekerian, one third of the acclaimed Armenian a cappella trio Zulal, in this lyrical, poignant fusion of Flamenco and vocals of the Old World.
One hundred years after the Armenian Genocide, the alternately haunting and playful melodies of an ancient culture find renewed voice in this melding of Flamenco and Armenian folk.
