Auto High Harvest Time Dinner at Egg
Egg Restaurant will host the third annual fund raising dinner to benefit the Harvest Time in Schools program at Automotive High School in Brooklyn. In its fourth year, Harvest Time at Auto High includes an organic edible garden, a "slow' cooking program, and a course titled, "Food, Land, and YOU," which introduces students to current debates about food policy and helps them learn the true story about what they eat. Day and overnight field trips to local farms are an integral part of the Harvest Time program and provide many students with their first "farm-to-table" experience. Auto High Harvest Time students will help plan, harvest, plate, and serve dinner and will talk informally about their Harvest Time learning experiences.
Dinner at Snail of Approval cited Egg will consist of four seasonal, local courses and will include local wine and beer. All proceeds will benefit Harvest Time at Auto High.
