Talk Radio by Eric Bogosian
Talk Radio, a Pulitzer-Prize nominated serio-comedy, tunes us into Cleveland's WTLK Radio, where provocative radio talk-show host Barry Champlain assaults the airwaves. Barry's nightly espousal of inflammatory views and ceaseless hectoring of callers evokes love and hate from all who listen. As Champlain (fueled as always by coffee, cocaine, and Jack Daniel's) moves through his program, with callers ranging from a white supremacist to a woman obsessed with her garbage disposal, Bogosian uses the Cleveland radio studio as a launching pad to look at the rise of mass media.
