R. Buckminster Fuller: THE HISTORY (and Mystery) OF THE UNIVERSE
Written and performed by D. W. Jacobs
from the life, work and writings of R. Buckminster Fuller

Produced by Arroyo Arts Collective | TEATRO ARROYO | K I N S H I P Studios

In this roller coaster of ideas and feelings, Bucky Fuller returns to give us an Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth. The playwright is now taking on the role for the first time in the play's 15 year history.

"R. Buckminster Fuller: THE HISTORY (and Mystery) OF THE UNIVERSE by D.W. Jacobs, is astonishing for the density of its ideas and the amount of theatrical riches it derives from them. It's as startlingly funny as it is intellectually stimulating, and as genuinely moving on a personal level as in its hopes and fears for the future of our planet, famously envisioned by Fuller as Spaceship Earth."
---Hurwitt, San Francisco Examiner

"Hugely entertaining!"
---Braunagel, LA TIMES

"...an unusual mixture of personal passion and intellectual rigor... it seduces you into a receptive and ultimately deeply self-reflective state."
---Weiss, Chicago Sun-Times

"...the show is emotionally full... inspiring and invigorating."
---LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle

"Fuller makes the world, the stars, and "universe" feel finite and fixable."
---Smith, SAN DIEGO READER

"You can't help thinking that the world really would be a better place if more people dared to think so radically about seemingly intractable problems -- world hunger, war, geopolitical wrangling, human behavior, the origin and nature of the universe."
---Poyen, San Diego Union

"...a masterful job. Fuller may have moved on to a higher geodesic sphere, but you can still encounter his questing spirit."
---Weinberg-Harter, BACK STAGE WEST
